In April I was lucky to be able to join Northeast Mountaineering on a one week trip to Iceland to photograph backcountry skiing and Iceland lifestyle. I met NEM founders Brett and Corey only a few months prior, so I was very honored when they asked me to come along and document the journey.  I could write a novel on how incredible Northeast Mountaineering is but I'll keep it short– the crew is inspiring, the trips are a blast and the opportunities that NEM provides are life changing.  I highly recommend their guide services, classes and excursions!

Check out my favorite moments from the trip below!

We arrived in Iceland with all of our checked luggage except for three ski bags.  (I would not suggest flying WOW Air). Suddenly two of the ski bags appeared, but Bianca's bag was still missing.

Our drive to Akureyri was absotluely stunning.

Iceland hotdogs are UNREAL. Trust me.

The view from our cottage!

The next morning we geared up and headed out, searching for a spot to ski!  High Brew kept us motivated and stoked after traveling the previous day!

It didn't take long before we found a spot!

Gearing up with Ortovox

Dinner and exploring the town!

The next day we headed out in search of fresh powder!

Flowfold passport holder, the only wallet I'd bring out in the mountains with me! Photo by Alexandra Roberts

Chippy made THE best sandwiches.

Skida keeping us warm and stylish.

My favorite day of the trip was our sunrise tour. It began at 3am as the moon was shining down on us.

Sun, smiles and a REVO goggles!

Time for a hot spring!

On our last day we decided to have a family style dinner together, thanks to Good to Go!

Cheers to a fantastic trip!
